Nicole Jones, married name Nicole Jones Wadsworth, has dedicated her life to building Alabama’s communities. Nicole Jones' career involves the negotiation of complex economic development matters and commercial real estate transactions. A pioneer in her field, Nicole Jones of Huntsville earned four degrees and two certifications with a primary focus on contracts, economic development, and economic policy as disciplines.

In 2017, Nicole Jones became the first person from Huntsville/North Alabama and among the first group in the state of Alabama to earn the EDAA Leadership Certification. The certification is granted by the EDAA Leadership Institute, a partnership between the Economic Development Association of Alabama (EDAA) and Auburn University’s Government and Economic Development Institute (GEDI).
 
Dr. Nicole Jones is a conservative business leader and stateswoman.  Over the years, Nicole Jones has made a concerted effort to visit communities and organizations throughout our state as a method to share best practices. By visiting all of Alabama’s 67 counties more than 25 times, Nicole Jones learned how to better position communities in both urban and rural areas for growth.
 
Nicole Jones works with Alabama’s primary industries daily and plays a significant role in the recruitment and retention of business and industry within our state. Being a productive member of society is an inherent component of Nicole Jones, as evidenced by her dedication to professional, civic, and philanthropic organizations and initiatives as a spokesperson, board member, and corporate sponsor.
 
Nicole Jones spent her early career building her hometown of Huntsville. In 2013 and 2014, Nicole Jones was recognized for work with the I Shop Local campaign, a partnership initiative with the Small Business Administration focused on the economic development-related benefits of shopping locally for goods and services. Nicole Jones served as President of the North Alabama Commercial Brokerage Association (NALCOM) in 2015 and 2016. In 2015 and 2017, Nicole was a Finalist for the Russell Brown Executive Leadership Award, a tribute to the good works and generosity of the late Russell Brown, a lifetime achievement award and honor given to business leaders for outstanding contributions to the community.

Nicole Jones Wadsworth is a member of business and trade associations such as the Alabama Association for Justice (ALAJ), Economic Development Association of Alabama (EDAA), Business Council of Alabama (BCA), Manufacture Alabama, Leadership Huntsville Alumni, Birmingham Committee on Foreign Relations, Montgomery Symphony League, Athens Limestone Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama, Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce, Madison Chamber of Commerce, Mobile Chamber, Alabama Legislative Club, Alabama Rural Health Association, Alabama Farmers Federation, Alabama Forestry Association, Alabama Cattlemen’s Association, and Heritage Foundation.
 
Nicole Jones serves on the following boards and committees: Health Policy – BCA; Small Business – BCA, Birmingham Committee on Foreign Relations, Alliance for Alabama's Infrastructure, Manufacture Alabama – Governmental Affairs, and The F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum. Nicole Jones served a six-year term on the Heart of the Valley YMCA Board of Directors and remains a staunch advocate for healthy living/a healthy Alabama.

Faith, family, and community-building are Nicole Jones' Life's Work. Nicole's husband, Tim Wadsworth, is an attorney and member of the Alabama House of Representatives, serving as Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee. Legacy is an integral part of her core, and Nicole Jones Wadsworth instills the values of hard work and servant leadership upon their college-aged son and daughter, who often accompany them to projects and volunteer opportunities.

 
The COVID-19 environment opened up new opportunities for Nicole Jones, who became increasingly aware of clients and colleagues with pandemic-related delays in the court system. After witnessing the frustration that parties experienced when court cases were repeatedly continued, Dr. Nicole Jones opened a mediation practice aimed to save time, money, and eliminate the stress associated with trial.

Throughout her career, Nicole Jones built extensive expertise in negotiation, conflict resolution, and productive dialogue. Nicole understands that effective mediation should preserve relationships whenever possible. Her approach focuses on respectful communication, creative solutions, and identifying common ground that leads to lasting resolutions and peaceful outcomes. As a mediator, Nicole Jones remains committed to guiding constructive conversations, reducing conflict, and promoting mutual understanding.

While Jones Wadsworth Mediation will evaluate the potential to mediate any type of case, with a background in business, Nicole Jones prefers mediating disputes related to business transactions, contracts, employment, government, and real property.
